The DS-6 crane intercom is used in the DS-6 decentralized communication system.

It is connected via a wireless LAN to the DS-6 access point ground station. The crane communications system serves for direct voice connections to other intercoms, messaging via loudspeakers, and the use of programmable local functions. The DS-6 crane intercom has 16 line keys.

The wireless WLAN connection complies with the two IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h/i and IEEE 802.11n standards with two different frequency bands: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
In addition to the target keys for WL/EL, the DS-6 tap intercom is equipped with a volume control. An optional USB flash drive is available.
